2. The “oil bridge”, Pont del Petroli

3. The anise plant with its Mono
Until today this plant is producing anise. The building is a modernist gem that has preserved its artistic and heritage value. The story of Anis del Mono begins in the late nineteenth century. Vicente Bosch, creator of Anis del Mono, received a business gift from America: a monkey. From that day, the brand Anis del Mono, was born. If you take a deeper look at the face of the monkey, you’ll see that the features are actually similar to those of Charles Darwin! At that time there was a fierce debate going on over Darwin’s theory of evolution.

4. The wheelchair accessible beach
During summer the beach is very pleasant here: it’s much quieter than in Barcelona and you’ll immediately notice how clear the water is, and you can still see some charming fishing boats in the sand. Walk back to the metro station through the ancient Roman part of town and take the time to stroll through the shopping street Carrer del Mar.
