    On our first date, Dan told me he had traveled to Florida together with his whole family when he was a teenager.

    Five minutes before he had also told me that you, his dad, were for quite some years already in a wheelchair. I will never forget how surprised I was. Or also shocked I must admit. I had no previous experience with family members or friends being in a wheelchair. It was all just new to me. Only then I started to realise that family life can be actually very different and yet the same. Dan said it was very normal to him. And I was intrigued…

    Luckily not as tense as the media make it look like! We must say that the atmosphere in Barcelona is actually quiet and calm. Of course, the conversations of the local inhabitants are often about politics but that doesn´t mean that visitors and guests notice anything or should stay away from the city, as life does go on here. On the contrary,  autumn in Barcelona is one of the nicest seasons to visit the city. The temperatures are – compared to the rest of Europe- very enjoyable, while the autumn colors are fully visible in the streets.
